Still a little pricy, though

It is very pricey. I have seen many 100's and LX470's like that for about $11,000-$15,000.
Jeremy,
Where is this?

You have to drive thru Conway on Hwy 501 on the way to Myrtle Beach. About 10 miles north of Sparks Toyota.

This is just asking price. I know these people and I would be sure they would take about $16k if it is a straight sale with no trade-in.

Has ATRAC, rear diff locker went away in 1999.

Jeremy

that sucks balls.... I got rear diff locker on rear and ATRAC as well that I can use with both turned on.

If that is true then it is ONLY for US Market as the Rear Locker and LSD are both options in Europe, UK, etc on the Land Cruisers. Plus the US LC still have the plug blank in dash for the Rear Diff to be installed. LOL

You can't compare anything Toyota overseas to a US Spec. vehicle. Entirely different animal. The Saudi Spec 100's even came with a solid front axle, FR/RR lockers, and a diesel with a manual trannny up until 2008.

Some hardcore folks will add ARB lockers to the front and rear in conjuction with the ATRAC for a nice package on the Hundy's. The LC's do have a much larger ring and pinion over the FJCruiser though. I wouldn't advice to putting a locker in the front of a FJCruiser, but the Hundy can handle it. In all honesty ATRAC and a rear locker is probably plenty.

Anyone care for me to check it out for them. It is about 2 minutes from my inlaws house.

Jeremy

Lots of people run front lockers in FJ Cruiser without an issue...I just dont see it as being an advantage really over ATRAC in most situations...and more of a hinderance in front but we wer enot talking about a front locker....just the rear locker for Land Cruisers after 2000 and how they appear to be setup for them in all the vehicles with dash blanks and offering overseas. I would be interested to know if the wiring is present already or not for someone to buy an elocker and install it themselves.

Here are some as well....

In 2003 that is where they put the switch for the Night View. I am not sure what or if it was used for on the 2000-2002. Toyota is famous for leaving blanks in dashes that can be used for a number of things. If you have a 98'-99' without a locker I would bet the wiring is there. As far as beyond that, the crew in the 100 section will know.

I know everyone here wants lockers, but as far as the 100's go the 2003 and up models are supposed to be the best.

Also the Lexus models are different than the LC models from 1998 on. They have adjustable height control standard as well as selective dampening in the shocks. Also rear AC is standard along with a nicer interior. One should expect to pay more for the Lexus over the LC.

Now the Lexus LX450 is basically identical to the 80 series except for the cladding and seat/door tufting.

I'm sure Mike knows all there is to know about the differences.

yeah the center diff locker and the traction control together is suppose to negate the need for a true rear locker on the Land Cruisers...and now the newer ones have that CRAWL MODE as well.

Yeah he has been checking them out regularly...though he is in hiding due to the Clemson loss Saturday I guess.

I know a little but not to the extent of you guys.
I am still not talking about Saturday's game.

US spec vs international cruiser atrac vs lockers. If you want a truck to wheel why are you buying a 100 series to big and to nice. Get a Fj 62 or a 40. A base 100 is still a great veh with or without lockers. I like the 100 series but how many people really are going to offroad it hard core enought to need lockers.

You haven't seen Steen (UC) wheel have you

Slee off road had a nice lifted one with super charger that was one of the nicer ones that I have seen for hard core Baja style driving

Brock - That second Craigslist link in post 9 1997 Used Toyota Land Cruiser S at Ron Shue Imports in Cornelius, NC, IID 4765034 looked great on the outside but the interior in hideous! Who would put white and red leather in an oak interior 80. Those red armrests, sunroof sun shade and embroidery on the doors are just plain horrible. Otherwise though, nice truck but way over priced.

Belmont148 - That blue 100 is awesome! I want it!
