Fwiw, when I switched to the newer model Nexus tablet, there was a little more room and I used a different cable that I picked up off Amazon. I'll try to track down the model/link.

...but note that I am no longer using the OTG charging as I was before. That said, the newer Nexus 7 model has more room so any compact angled cable should work. You shouldn't need the Ninja cable.

I'd really recommend using the 2nd gen Nexus 7 having had both now. Totally worth it for a lot of reasons and also cleanly solves this issue too. I don't recall if I mentioned it before but you'll be installing the tablet with the power inlet pointing towards the AC control unit. That's why the clearance is tight. If you point it the other way you'll have clearance even with the Gen 1. But the advantage to doing it my way is that the power button on the tablet can be easily reached by removing the ashtray, allowing for hard reboots if and when the need arises.

Ive got it in there now with a 90° otg cable from ebay. I trimmed the cord until i saw the internal wires. Still havent finished wiring it. But it seems like it will work.
So does the tuffy 013 fit fine in the 80 as they do not have a LC listed on their website?

Size-wise, there is no problem. To make it look like mine, you'll need to notch out your center console so the cup holder can fit into it better. Take a look at your current console and my pictures and you'll see what I mean.
The 013 is not specifically designed for the LC but happens to fit. You have to do a couple of small tweaks to get it mounted but they aren't difficult. There are some write-ups on the install if you do a search here.

If you take the center fascia off that holds the radio and AC unit off, and then take your radio out, you can reach your hand up behind the dash to the back of the vent/clock piece and kind of push it out, being careful of 4 clips (might be 6, can't remember) that snap the whole thing into place. My description is terrible but once you get into it, you'll see it's so straight forward that even I was able to do it.
Few minutes tops. Once it's out, you can unscrew the clock from the vent piece thingy and then trim the plastic as needed to fasten the screen to the back of it.
The set-up has worked flawlessly since my original install and comes in handy every day. The backup camera I used, which I mounted to the bumper, started off dark black and has faded to a dark bronze (it has a metal shell). If that's an issue for you, there are about a bajillion alternatives on Ebay, Amazon and AliExpress to choose from.

Exactly
To replicate what I did in my video, you'll need a Sony single din with AppRemote. But you could also just use any Bluetooth-enabled deck however you would not be able to control features like the am/fm tuner or audio settings from the tablet itself.
You'll also need an app to put the tablet into deep sleep when the ignition power is off. Many people use Tasker. I used AutomateIt since it's easier to use.

Correct.
That thing is a step down converter. Not really necessary. You can find a ton of 12v-to-usb adapters on Amazon for around $10 like this one: Amazon.com: DROK® High Conversion Efficiency Power Converter Step-down A type Female USB Max 3A/15W Output USB Connector Adapter Car Charger 12V to 5V For iPhone/HTC/Nokia: Cell Phones & Accessories
Wire one of those to a 12v ignition source, and then plug a micro USB to USB cable in between that and the tablet.

I bought a Pioneer 5700bhs for a great deal, it's still sitting brand new in the box but I could probably sell it and purchase that sony headunit along with a Nexus 7 for less and I already want the tuffy console as I hate the stock LX450 console with the subwoofer that is unhooked and the lid is broken on it anyways....hmmm now to sell this Pioneer 5700BHS
VERY slick... how'd you remove all of the wood trim? i'd like to do that mod...

On the center console? I used rustoleum rattle can bedliner on the whole thing. Scuff then spray. Looks great.
