If everyone will send me a PM with your email address I'll send the sat phone number once I get it. The phone is for emergency use only so we don't have any pre-purchased minutes.

I have the same stove as Ben does and an Australian open fire cooking setup. I am good with my stove being used by the group also, but I will be departing on Tuesday morning from Moab back to SLC...so you won't have access to my gear on the Kokopelli.

The only issue I see as a possibility is Kane Creek canyon. I lead it in May with Cruise Moab. The route is getting rougher and rougher, especially at hamburger hill. I can only imagine what the difficulty will be if it snows. Let alone all of the water crossings. I'm not saying that we should avoid it, I'm just saying that it can't be taken lightly.

I’d love to do Kane Creek, but body damage does not deter me.

I think @apinti @TRFCSUX and @fireball dont want to beat up their clean trucks.

I say we skip it, especially since two of the three trucks mentioned above are driving both ways.

I am eliminating Kane Kreek (at least Hamburger Hill) from the itinerary.

I have a super secret camp site that I am trying to work into the plan.

FYI..any and all camp sites we go to are going to be a non-disclosure agreement deal. Dont need the coordinates of these spots getting out there.

My truck is well worn in. Would like to be able to drive it back to SLC, but body damage need not factor. It's been through two VOTs now, and is pretty similar to Greg's truck!

We need a BBQ grill propane tank for campfire in a can...

We may need two. Anyone recall how long it lasted at Moab before a refill?

Anyone?

Do you mean propane to get a fire started? Isnt that what petrol is for?

This also reminds me, we should stock up on firewood, some places can be hard to find laying wood to burn.

Also of fire related note...is there potential for any burn bans along our routes?
The area we are going to is under a state of emergency because of drought. A burn ban is not in effect, but it's always wise to be careful in that sort of climate. I'm planning on a fire for sure.

Slight derail, is anyone bringing a dog? Or would you object to a dog?

Seems like the propane tank lasted about 3 nights. I have a spare (empty) tank I can bring if Steve has room.
