those new wheels look SO much better. no more balloon tires! sweet looking truck. you should check the TN subforum and meet up with us this week (tuesday i think). Hugh Heifer (Chris) is coming to the Nooga from Rome. you might be able to hitch a ride with him. we need more 60's!!!

seat covers are from wet okole
www.wetokole.com

They are without a doubt the finest
seat covers made.

pros:
-perfect fit
-look sweet
-neoprene
-easy to clean
-extra padding

cons:
-for the price ($300), you could pick
up some aftermarket seats.
-increased chance of swamp-ass
(a little warm on a hot day)

But my wife got them for my birthday,
so I gladly accepted them:)

Salomon, thanks for the invite.
Don't know if I can get up there on Tues.
But I'm from Chattanooga; my whole family's
up there. So I should get with you guys
for sure

Wow!! congrats pretty nice truck you have there.. look's so much better with the new wheels on. just a question: how many inches of lift do you have in that OME setup? i looks tall!

Thanks!
EMU/ Dakar med/heavy.
Supposed to be 3"

I think it looked a little silly with the 32X11.5 on the 15x10's.

This combination fills in the wheelwell a little better

So I'm still debating what to do w/ the rims.

How about 91-92/80 series OEM 15x7, with 33x10.5 and spacers?

Some how keep a certain level of OEMness, but update it, kinda like
the paint color..
Any newer 80 series wheel is too modern for my taste.

I saw a thread that recommended 1" spacers for a similar set-up..

Does anyone have any additional input/suggestions on this??

Thanks:cheers:

Check the project Uranus thread...Its an fj62 with 92 80series wheels on it..

Edit: I see ya already got new rims for it...The rig looks great.

Well it's been a year:doh:
But I've got her back for good.
It was quite a journey,
but finally found an excellent body shop
who took his time, but did it right.
Couldn't be happier:D

Suspension Shop?

GoldenEagle, what shop did you get to do the suspesion work? I'm over in Clarksville, TN and am looking for a good shop for after I get the engine in my '82 Fj60 all squared away. Thanks and great looking rig.

Thanks for the props.
I just moved back from living in Georgia for about 6 yrs. I had Urban Landcruisers in ATL do the work.
I'm sure you can find someone locally to do good work for you.
I just don't personally know anyone yet. I've heard mixed reviews about a cruiser guy here in Soddy Daisy. (Steve's Off Road - (423) 332-0642‎. But I have zero experience with this guy.
I was going to suggest you post a thread in our local TLCA section, but I see you already have tapped that resource.

There seems to be a pretty good community around here who like to get together, wrench and drink beer. I would keep probing the local section. Also, if you haven't already, check the recommended mechanics thread.

Good luck and welcome to MUD:cheers:
