Is there a speedo gear I can get for running 33's on my 91? How much will it change my speedo? Will I have any clearance problems? Exactly what tire and size do you reccomend? Most of what we have is mud around here to play in, some hills, trails, and sand.

It will depend on rim size and actual tire width (all tires/brands are not the same), but most likely you'll be fine. I was able to run 33/12.5's on 15x7's with no problems of anykind. And Slee (see links above) has the correction gear thingy.

Did you drop your bump stops with those 33's? And how bad is the rubbing? If you search for "correction gear" you'll surely find some hits on the speedo-gear you're looking for, or take a peak over at Slee, good luck and happy trailing!

If you were asking me, then the answer is "no." I didn't get any rubbing nor did I lower the bump stops. :D

Corbs,

I think a 7" wide rim mounting a 12.5" wide tire is way too narrow. I'd expect sidewall problems over time.

Not to mention how fawkin hard it is to balance a tire that hangs over that much. 15x8's would be best. spend 200 bucks buy a set of rockcrawlers. The black look would look nice on your red 80 IMO. I'm putting a set of those on mine with 33x12.5 pro comp MTS soon.
