Greetings from the Jungle in Belize.
Got myself an October 2003 105 with 4.5 fzfe, manual transmission, solid front axle with lockers, no fancy electronics not even central locking or electric windows. Suits the humid climate here as modern elctronics just burn out and no-one knows how to fix them!. But the rust was in a different dimension around the windscreen and back barn doors. Reminds me of all those rusty wrecks I used to buy in the 1970s!

Anyway mostly fixed up now but Odo is burnt out. Everything else on the cluster eg speedo, revs etc work fine. No clusters available anywhere second hand or new so I am thinking of a Heads up Display connecting to OBD2 to give me the ODO and trip. Plus cluster is in Kms/hr whereas Belize works in miles so be handy to have mph. Seems like most of the ones on fleabay are for post 2008 but there are a few claiming to work on 2003 on.

Anyone have experience of these OBD2 HUDs and whether they would work with my car?

If by any chance anyone has a working second hand cluster 838006E220 then I would be interested but I think they are as rare as hens teeth.

How about these?

Sadly all the ones on fleabay are 838006E202 which looks the same but I think is for 98 to 2002 model. Partsouq, partsnext are out of stock. I enquired toyotadxb if they had in stock but no reply.
Only one I could find was second hand in Vladivostok!!
