Okay, I have aan 87 FJ60. What is the plastic tank reservoir on the driver's side inside fender? It has all sorts of plumbing going back toward the motor but it looks like a washer fluid thing. The owner's manual does not show it.

I had an oil change and the truck started to leak underneath almost directly under the passenger seat. The leak stopped but the truck reads a quart low. What do you think?

Two things...

TEST the headlight washers: Fill the reservoir while alone, have someone you 'mostly like' stand in front of the cruiser, turn on the headlights, hit the button to wash the windshield....if they work, laugh out loud.

Leak - hmmm...some say, "if it ain't leakin' it's empty!". But seriously, Did you happen to check the oil level before letting it sit and leak on the pass. side? Could it be just oil dripping after taking the oil filter off?

Under the Pass seat is weird....Did you change the tranny/transfer fluids, too?

Pics of the leak would be helpful...size of puddle left behind, any trail where it would be coming from?
