What is the recommended method to connect with the parts Guru? I need to order some brake components. I PM'd him but haven't recieved a reply. Just wondering if there's some sort of secret ih8mud password or a slick handshake I need to learn.......

You may have caught him off at Moab having fun and then attempting to catch up. He had his PM turned off during Moab. Every parts shaman needs a break every now and again.

Yes there is a somewhat secret method of getting to C-Dan. Please keep this private as only a few of us know this trick.


Compile your PM in a seperate window. I use Firefox so it's easy to open another tab with a PM session. Enter "CruiserDan" in the TO: section, fill in your subject, and enter your message. Next, you need to find one of C-Dan's posts. He has a few so this shouldn't be a problem.

Now comes the tricky part.... You need to stare at Dan's avatar until the old guy starts scratching his nutz. Then you need to quickly switch over to the PM session and press "Send". You have to get this done before George quits scratching his nutz or you'll have to start all over again. With a little practice this becomes easy to do. This changes the priority of your PM and your message will pop to the top of his mailbox. You should get a PM reply from C-Dan within 37 seconds and even better pricing than normal 'Mud members. If it takes longer than 37 seconds for a reply then send him another message with the same secret process. It works! I believe it's about a 62% discount for those that are in on the Nut-Scratching secret code.
