Ok, ok, I guess I'll officially throw this out there. Just some brief back story. I've been a member for awhile although I don't post much, just spend a lot of time drooling over everyone else's rig. I'm a Toyota fanatic having owned a Tacoma, FJ Cruiser, 2 4runners, Sion and a Prius 
. I have loved the FJ40 since seeing one at a bank several years ago but always figured they were more than my budget could afford as the only ones I found were pristine and expensive!
So fast forward to today I'm back on the search. I'm not looking for a perfect show truck or a rock crawler. I'm looking for something mechanically sound that could be a daily driver with an occasional trip to some green trails or camping trip. I'm a handy self maintenance person but I'm no mechanic so would prefer something with no mechanical or drivability issues. I don't want a rust bucket but am not afraid if she isn't wearing the prettiest dress and needs a little lipstick. I plan to keep it for years to come so God willing I'll have time to make her look nicer. I'm not terribly picky but in a perfect world, she's in good shape, amby doors, working heat (I'm on the east coast), etc. I'm also not afraid to have it shipped as I know most good ones aren't around my area. My ideal budget is $5k but will go up a bit for the right truck. Thanks for reading my rant!
