My guess you drive a 91 and never driven a 96-97:lol:

My 91 isn't missing anything a 97 has (big front brakes perhaps).

Unless I'm "missing" the 1FZ.

Driven every year..... never lusted after a 1fz afterwards. Only one that came close was by buddies SC/intercooled one. But then I remembered with the added start up cost of buying a 1fz powered 80 over a 3FE one and the price of the SC and intercooler on what would already be high miles and the problems they have I decided that buying a 3FE and doing a diesel or v8 swap (if I actually wanted more power) would put a much bigger smile on my face. :flipoff2:

The thread is the best 80 series not the best modded 80 series. You being a self claimed expert on all 80 series cannot put a 91 and 96-97 on the same level.

sure all things being equal (price, miles) and the ability not to mod, a locked 97 would be a no brainer over a 91 or 92.
But things aren't equal, price isn't equal and the ability to mod is there that factors into price so those are all things to consider when buying one.
