Hey everyone, picked up a 2013 LC200, it's got the 4.6 V8. 2 days now and I love it! I just gotta save up and start the bug, specially after seeing some of the ones on here.

I'm new to the off road/cruiser not new to cars though. Modded cars before just not for off road purposes so this forum will be a ton of help. Looking forward to possibly meeting some of the guys on here too, seems like there's a few from my area

planetalaska, this is the pearl white, code 070. The super white is coded 040.

Welcome to the forum. White is such a classic Cruiser color and it looks great on the 200! Looking forward to hearing from the KSA.

:lol: my brother's and parents cars. Volvo, Sequoia and dad actually has a 200 too. This is my first off road rig.. I had a Legacy GT and an S2000 before this, there's my car history for ya ;)
 
nice collection, any plans for mods and accessories? Also any idea if the 200 (VXR) in Jeddah comes with a front camera factory installed? is it available as a "toyota" option?

Many plans yes :D need to pay it off and have some money to spend first!! Not sure if they do, the 2011 didn't I know that. I'm not sure of the facelifted version has it or not

Currently none of the 'higher' spec LC200/LC150 in the kingdom (Saudi) comes with front or side cameras. They stopped since 2010 I think and it was introduced then only in high spec LC200 VxR (5.7L) or LC150 VxL(4.0). Now the most you get is a rear camera plus sensors. (Of course you pay extra around 6500SAR for it) However you can easily buy the front cameras for LC (either fitting inside the front big Toyota logo or in the grille) plus your favorite screen from kenwood etx.

Drive outside the kingdom to the neighboring GCC and any high spec LC will have full surround cameras etx. It's some crazy local saudi dealer monopoly, which drives us crazy and hence many tend to just buy/import from outside kingdom. The top of the line LC models ( with all the imaginable goodies) in GCC are famously sold by one Omani dealer called Al-Buraimi.

For LX470 ( Lexus) however you do get all the goodies in the kingdom but they cost you both the arms and legs :-)

You can try aliexpress website to search for any LC camera.

issue is i already have a factory installed screen so i am limited to adding any additional functionality (i.e video input for a front camera)

Not sure if it has been done before on a factory screen as I'm too scarred to try it out. There's this one toyota owner who had his airbags deploy because of some aftermarket head-unit or something like that

I dont know where you are based. But its a straight forward installation. Most new screens in toyota here are double-din with video input connector at the back. Just buy the camera and plug it in.

Buy something like this or similar http://goo.gl/dKSDj - search the same site for more options. I'm also trying to get one - but my list also include a screen e.g. Kenwood etc +rear camera.

I heard the quality is poor on these cameras especially during night. I feel its best to go with OEM.

Only on the 2012+, the 2011 never had that option on the touch screen for a front camera. Can anyone confirm whether the 2011 VXR model can accompany a front camera install? But how will it be activated when there is no option on the touch screen? manual switch on/off?

2011 VXR does not have that option, the screen and menus are totally different from what I got too
 
If you want to protect the face of your new car, I strongly recommend that you get the dealer to remove the extra bit of plastic of the front bumper. I've seen quite a few Cruisers and Prado's diving with their nose in a sanddune, either ripping of the extra bit or bashing it backward ruining the rest of the plastic bits. The plastic bumper skin is actually quite fragile with puny hooks and latches that break easily. And its expensive to replace, some SAR3000 for the plastic alone.
So before you break it, get it removed in a controlled manner!
