Interesting design detail on the concave wheel lip.

@Zuberg much appreciated!

Man those are simple and clean.

Glad you like them. That was our goal. We wanted to create a minimalist, Japanese-inspired design that fits the Landcruiser / LX470 properly, is as light and strong as possible, and has useful added features like reinforced lips/flanges, knurled bead seats, high clearance barrel for bigger brakes, hub centric center bore, lug / stud openings machined to accept extended thread lug nuts and a center cap design that is tall enough to fit over the hubs without the need for wheel spacers.

To our knowledge, there isn't another wheel available anywhere that checks all of these boxes for the 100 series. Every wheel I see out there "kind of fits" the 100 series, but it will some combination of drawbacks such as a center cap that doesn't fit, an offset that is too low, a center bore that requires a wheel spacer or additional machining to fit over the hubs, a center bore that isn't hub centric, build quality that isn't very good, a weight that is too heavy, a load rating that is too weak, or some other drawback that makes the wheel less than perfect for the Landcruiser. We tried to make this wheel as close to a perfect a fit as possible taking into consideration everything that our 100 series customers have asked for and maintaining our high standards for quality and service (not a sales pitch - I personally inspect every wheel prior to shipping to the customer). 👍

Thanks for noticing! 👍

The lips of the wheels have a reinforced designed for added strength. The wheels have a high clearance barrel, so that they can be easily balanced with stick-on wheel weights. That also allowed us to eliminate the normal flange design on the lip that is typically used for clip-on wheel weights.

We used the same design and engineering for both the 17x8" +30mm offset and 17x9" +25mm offset versions of the Five Star. The load rating/testing for these wheels is based on the the Landcruiser 200, which is much heavier than the Landcruiser 100. We tested to SAE J2530 standard (strictest standard that there is) with up to a 37" tire diameter to ensure maximum strength and durability. Essentially the wheels are "over-engineered" for the 100 series, since the load rating is based on the 200 series. The wheels are super solid.

Ok finally got a minute and did a test fit. Overall I'm super happy with them. I think with a 285 or narrower tire they'd sit perfectly flush with the body. The wheel offset is perfect. I knew I was pushing things with the 295 but rolled the dice. Got some owl expedition mud flaps to keep the crud off the body since I'm on dirt and gravel roads everyday.

3 sets of pictures: side, front and rear

Each set is in this order:
1. Oem wheels and stock height
2. Five stars stock height
3. Five stars lifted (21.5" hub to fender front 23.5" rear)

Hey @Zuberg -- can you let us know how much, if any, trimming you've had to do help the 295s fit on the stock height? Or, did the lift solve any rubbing? Thanks!

Yeh so long story short I never got them permanently mounted up on this truck...I'm in the middle of finalizing a deal for a different 100 series (found one in the color i want with lower miles) so I'll be putting these wheels and tires on the new truck instead. Sorry I don't have any info to add.

From the test fitment I don't think I would have had much rub. Maybe the windshield washer resi and mud flaps? But since I'm throwing dissent bumper and ASAP flaps on it wasn't a concern for me.
