New Video

Put up a quick video from wally's charity wheel this fall. Raised money for a motorcycle accident victim.

I am not crazy about the video, but figured you might like to see it.

I may yet recut it, but here it is for now. Click on the button in the lower right to view full screen. Audio is from a band called skindred. I had a video pulled down from Bjorks management company, so we will see how long it lasts.

I know. I make commercials for a living and have an extensive library of crappy royalty free music, but where is the fun of that?

Labels and artists need to get over themselves.

They have a legitimate complaint if this were a profitable commercial project. It is, of course, not.

Some labels get it. I had a punk label from a track i used a few years back email me, thank me for the video, and say it is fine if I use the track, as long as the label can advertise on the youtube page.

that video is still up, with lots of hits, and hopefully made them a few bucks.

Or you can rely on bands that buck the system and publish their music through online venues. Matisyahu is one of them.....try archive.org at Internet Archive for tons, and tons of live music.

If my choices are shtick-driven pop music or silence...I choose silence.

That is why I usually use punk bands. They normally do not care. However, I am sure it is a label thing, and not an artist thing in my two circumstances.

Yup. I cut it here, and the writer said.. "I need a motorcycle pic". I happened to have 20 or so.

It did grow, the day before we tossed in a few more and attempted to make it a bit harder. I dragged my skid steer up and almost completly tore up the side yard
