So I landed on a great bumper, thanks to a tip from Nakman!

Nice to have friends like Tim, he waded in the Dirty Devil river to hand me a winch line and found me a great bumper!

Tim has the same bumper and has a 99, I have an 01. The line up with each bumper was slightly different. Tim's AC line was without a 90 degree bend like mine. The 90 degree bend was key for missing the mounting plate.

It was a bit of a lengthy install, box of nuts and bolts all mixed together was slightly intimidating. The best part was using Face Time to check in with Tim and Brent, while we were both installing at separate locations.. It was like a Mod-off! "What is this bolt for?" "uh, yeah not there.."

I needed to add a few washers between the mounting plate and the frame to angle the mounting plate back toward the grill, bringing the bumper closer to the body for a better fit. Tim did not have to do this for roughly about the same fit.

All in all, I like the style very much. The fog light and turn signal kits were included.. Also has under wing covers for each side. I am pretty stoked!

I guess for now there are only 3 of us in the U.S. with this latest version of the TJM T13 Outback. Will be nice to have a unique look for as long as it lasts!

Also, thanks to Christo for having the wisdom to order a couple of these from TJM! I think we grabbed these within ours of them arriving in Golden!

Sweet bumper. I wanted one of those but ran out of patience. Grats!

How did you get the new bumper? I thought TJM only sent the old style over to the U.S.?

Looks really good. If you could share the approximate cost figures and the outlook for getting additional bumpers in that's be great.

The uprights near the grille flare outward, not the same as the ARB which goes straight up. Using facetime to install is a hilariously genius idea

Cool! Photos of the bumper lights on?

Looks great.

How big are the cut outs for the fogs?

Right on Chris looking good man, I'm super stoked as well. Oregon did you get the third? the word in town was exactly 3 made it to the US, two to Colorado and one somewhere else... we're all hoping it's you Dennis.

I had to cut the little feet off the end of my frame to make it work, but it all bolted up nicely after that. Here are the highlights:

A couple.. first one is headlights & driving lights, before I hooked up the parking lights. And second one is just parking lights & DRL.

Does this bumper have the accordian mounts like the ARB?

Does this bumper have the accordian mounts like the ARB?

Nope. the winch is bolted to a cradle between the frame rails, with wings that extend out. the bumper is then bolted to the wings.. so the accordion effect is happening in the wings, without affecting the rigidity of the winch. I installed one of those accordion ARB's on my Taco and think this one is a much stouter and better design overall.

Off topic: Nice winch! I am loving mine!

On topic: Looks like the solenoid box fits without any clearance issues. I had to relocate mine to the engine bay due to my TJM T-15.

I spent quite a bit of time getting that location to work. Retired the plug to be on top of the bumper, had to swap the shorter black cables to get them both to reach the terminals, ended up reclocking it 2x to get the lever access right so it wouldn't interfere.... But yes, finally got that winch box off the floor, can't wait to use it. :)
