New transponder ??'s

So just got the new transponder key programmed, now have some other issues.
New fob will not lock/unlock doors, and now when key is out of ignition for appx. 30 all the doors lock automatically.
How do I reprogram the new for to work, and change the auto lock function so that it doesn't lock me out?

Try this, see if it solves the delayed auto locking also.

Sounds like you programed the immobilizer part of the key but not the keyless entry portion. What year is it?

It's a 2001. I got to the part where you're suppose to hold the lock/unlock buttons down together for 1.5 seconds, then immediately hold down the lock button for two seconds. The rig is suppose to cycle the locks once for a sucsessful program, twice if it fails. Three times in a row it locked twice. Now even the original fob won't lock/unlock it correctly!

You have to program the lock/unlock feature on the original fob right after you get the new fob programmed.

The original fob is broken at the key though. It won't make it thru the procedure.
