Got my new TOYO Open Country MT's today and want to get them mounted and ballanced and thought I would ask you guys who you suggest I go to in KC to get it done.

285's? Can't tell from the pic. Nice!

I have had decent luck Walmarts and if you sweet talk the person behind the counter they may give you the lifetime balance. Just be sure they don't counter balance the tires (weights all over the same side and not together) I have had this issue with a few Walmart tire centers. Most kids there have no idea but every once in a while you'll find one that knows what he's doing and thinks your rig is cool.

I wouldn't let 'em mount the wheels on the rig, tho... unless you like replacing lug bolts :frown:

One other thing, from the picture it looks like those have a rim protector similar to my Nittos, so getting weights on is a bitch. The guys at Tire Town in Shawnee trashed several weights when they balanced mine.

Well, I got them mounted yesterday morning. I went to Adam Toyota in Lee's Summit to have them done. They have the Road Force Balancer in there shop and it was only $15 per tire to mount and balance. Suprisingly very little weight was needed and drives smooth as can be. My BFG AT/KO's had a vibration that i could never get rid of and now its gone with the Toyo's. They were also very carefull not to damage my wheels.

attached are some pics.

Looks good. Gives you that aggresive look. Now all that's left is to fix your signature.

Looks awesome Zane, hopefully I can get some more aggressive tires on my rig before too long. I'm thinking 255/85/16 BFG MT's (I like the "Hyena" look :D ).

This isn't suprising to me at All. I have a Toyo MT in a 315 that only takes .5 ounce. Toyos manufacturing process makes their tires very true and round. If you do a search you can find out how their molds are different and what makes them so round. It is pretty interesting. They are bringing that tire technology to the US when they open a plant in GA. That should drop the price some.

I have the Nitto Terra Grapplers which are manufactured using the same technology as Toyo. The 315 Nittos balanced easier and with less weights than the 285 BFGs or the 315 MTRs.
