Hello everybody on the forum, is a bit that i follow here because i wanted to buy me a LC, so here I've found a lot of info, thanks to everybody for posting all your tips, tricks and knowledge!!!!
I just get me this 100-Series, after searching and searching, I was looking either for an 80 or a 100, but in my area Los angeles, anything below 10k was mostly trash, and very few with lockers and way above 200k miles.
In the end I found this one, 1999, 170kmi, 3 owners... all of them kept it for about 50-60kmi, timing belt just done at 167.000 miles, didn't noticed any leak, anywhere, just typical little scretches here and there, rear lockers :) and inside seems pretty clean.
I paid $6000 for it... was it too much or a fair price?

thanks
cla

I think its a decent price.. but as long as ur happy with it.. we happy too for u.

Did you pull a carfax on it?

I noticed that truck today online as I was making my usual CL rounds.

$6k? Score! You saved some money. Be happy with the purchase.

If any issues arise, then no worries. You didn't spend much.

OP: too late to worry about that. Just enjoy it. And welcome!

looks good to me and I'd say pretty good price based on my recent searches in the NC area for one.

You mentioned getting a lot of tips and feedback from people. I just posted a thread asking for purchasing tips. Send me anything you learned in the process or good feedback you got from these great folks!

Welcome to cruiser world. I love my 78.

I'd pay 6k for one like that tomorrow if I could find it. Everything near me either has 250k miles or is a northern transplant. I've been looking seriously for at least a month, gone to look at three different trucks with money in hand, and walked on all of them. Missed on a couple of good ones that sold before I could get to them.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the Cruiser. I think the price you paid for the truck with that miles with a T-belt recently done is really an awesome deal.
Make sure to replace the heater line T-joints. I am glad someone in this forum brought this up to me. Coolant can leak if it breaks leading to a head gasket failure. Both of these T-joints are like $22 at the dealer and it is super easy to replace (located by the end of the engine near the driver side firewall)

I'm here in LA today to look/buy one today ...I missed that one. Nice find.

Nice Cruiser. I'd say you got a pretty good deal. I've only seen a handful of Hundy's priced under $7k in CA - I know that if I had personally seen one this clean for only $6k I'd jump on it without even asking the :princess: for permission...and I've already got 7 vehicles, lol.
