150K miles on 315's with no regear and the A343F purrs along like new.

Beno, Aren't you re-gearing soon? Are you doing this to save the transmission . I think these were designed for a bus, so it should be okay.

Dyche, You should be able to run those 345s without much issue. You might have to lower your rear bump stops if it hasn't been done already.

tires and wheels

Welcome. Nice rig!

I switched from 18X10 wheels with BFG KO A/T LT 285/65R18 to 16X67.5 FJ Cruiser wheels with BFG KO T/A LT265/75R16s. MY 96FZJ80 runs a lot better with the smaller tires and I picked up about 1.5 MPG.

It you go with the 345's I suggest re-gearing. Engine, tranny, gear ratios are all designed to work together and they do IMHO.
