Just picked up a Starfire Pearl 460 premium, with the sport appearance package. In my opinion the sport appearance package is the single best looking option on this truck. I've never particularly like the look of the front end on this model, especially after coming from the elegant nose of my hundy. The black grill and liquid silver wheels of this one sold me, I drove to Laguna Niguel to pick it up.
37k miles.. it looks and drives like new. Love love love it.

The one thing I'm not crazy about, the 60 series stock tires look too small in the wheel wells, I ordered a set of 65 series Geolanders to put on. so 265/65 18. I've looked a bit for any guidance on fitment, most of the people have gone to wider or much larger rubber, I just want a little taller tire. Any thoughts?

Pics to come.

I'm guessing Geolander A/T S?

If so, they measure 31.9" x 10.7" per their website GEOLANDAR A/T-S | Yokohama Tire Corp | Yokohama Tire Corporation

I'm currently toy running the same size tire, although it's made by Michelin (and in also running Dobinson Springs and spacers on the front wheels). Much to my dismay, Michelin dropped the LTX AT2 265/65R18 from their website (thus I can't recheck the dimensions), which is odd because I thought this was a original equipment tire on the TRD Pro Tundra?

Anyway, I rub Just slightly - and not consistently - which I truly think is mostly the fault of the spacers and not the tires. I doubt the springs make a difference one way or another. If I had to guess I'd say you don't rub, but if you do, just a touch in the middle of step/ mudflap area.

Are you planning on changing the spare to match?

Does your GX have KDSS? A trailer hitch?

I can tell you that my 265/65 did not fit in spare location, but I have KDSS and HAD a trailer hitch.

Yes the Geolander AT S. I had arranged to put Hankook Dynapro AT Ms on but I changed my mind, the Dynapro tread pattern is I think too agressive for the GX, at least for the purposes I'll be putting it to.

It does have KDSS, and a hitch. I'll leave the spare alone for now. I sold my hundy baja runner, which was set up with EMU and ARB, etc, if I eventually outfit the GX similarly I'll put a matching spare on a rear rack.

Michelin LTX 265/65R18 measures 31.5" x 10.7" - which isn't my exact tire, but I'm fairly certain those are the same measurements SKU Table | LTX M/S2 tires | Michelin US

So that means .4" over all additional height for the Geolander A/T S compared to the Michelin both in 265/65R18, and .2" per side. Looking forward to pics and feedback on fitment.

With the new Geolander ATS

How's the ride? Any louder/ stiffer than before?

Any rubbing, lock-to-lock in flat ground going forward/ backwards?

At first I thought there may be a little rub at full lock, on the fender liner, but after examining it, there is not. Free and clear. Ride if anything is better than the stock Michelins.
