What a great site this is for the 470! I am a member on clublexus for my other cars but there isn't a very active LX470 section.
I bought a 2000 470 with 123k last fall after doing some research here. It was at a Mercedes dealer, had recent timing belt service, new front brakes and rotors, new tires and a new windshield. It started on the lot at $16k and slowly dropped and eventually went to $10k on the website. I emailed the salesman at 10pm and told him I would be in the next morning.
I will post pics when I get a chance to take a few. It's the smokey topaz with light interior and looks new inside.
I changed all the fluids and drove it 3000 mile roundtrip to Florida over the holidays. It was a joy to drive and we got 16 mpg at 75 mph. It drives much nicer than the 03 Denali I got rid of and the AWD is flawless in deep snow.
My only issue is the typical rust on the lift gate and the leaking exaust manifold. I am going to drive it for a year or so and decide if I want to have it fixed. I have really enjoyed reading through about fifty pages of posts here--very informative.
