Just got rid of a 2019 Ram 1500 Limited and replaced it with a 08 GX470. Have been looking at these for a while. It will be my daily driver/ play toy. I really enjoy fly fishing for trout, peace and quiet, and the process of getting there. My "new" GX470 is generally in good shape but I am still learning all of strengths and weaknesses. It had a mild build but more of an urban build but in generally really like what previous owner did. I am here to learn how to take care of my GX and learn some tips to give it a little more adventure seeker build while trying to hold on to reliability. My new rig is a:
2008 GX470 Sport
White with the tan interior (love the white, not the tan)
Not optioned with the KDSS (luckily)
Front suspension- Toytec front coilover currently set for around 1.1" (I think). SPC UCA
Rear suspension- OME 700# springs (got the 900# HD springs as an extra
Wheels - BC Forged LE- 61 20"x 11" (don't know the offset yet)
Tires- Terra Grappler G2- 305/50R 20
Rear window wiper deleted
Front grill painted black
Headlights buffed
Timing belt and WP replaced
Trans fluid flushed
Brake and power steering fluids replaced
Some minor fender trimming. Still rubs a bit.
I have had this a week.. First thing I did was remove the running boards. I am working on cutting the trim of RB to reattach.
Lastly, I want to thank this forum. You have no idea how helpful it is to turn to a place like this when you are researching a vehicle to buy. (You probably do realize but...) Keep up the great work.
