Hey everyone,

I am new to MUD and to the FJ community. I have probably wanted an FJ 40 since I saw my 1st one when I was in 3rd or 4th grade. I live in Gig Harbor and I am the proud new owner of a 1977 FJ 40. I am looking forward to meeting all of the south sound cruisers and taking part. The day I drove her home put a big smile on my face and was so much fun. I want to thank @torfab and all of the guys in Everett for doing a pre purchase inspection and storing the FJ there until I was able to make it there. Looking forward to taking her back up there to get some work done and doing some myself. As you will see in the pictures there are things that are obviously wrong (can you find it?) but it’s my new hobby so that’s ok.

Jose, Congrats and welcome to the community. I also live in Gig so a meet up wouldn't be all that difficult. I am currently gathering the parts to do an LS swap so mine will be off the road in the near future.
The South Sound clubhouse used to be active but it has slowly lost traction. I frequently lurk in the North Sound chapter (don't tell them)

Hey,
It would be cool to meet up. All of this is new to me so am taking my time and doing small manageable stuff. I saw that the North Sound chapter had a lot more activity.

Met up with Jose on Saturday, he has a very nice base to start his LC addiction. Will try ad be more active on the boards and hopefully in the near future we could get an informal SSC get together.

It's been a while since I have been on this site. Last week I went on a road trip(1100+ miles), I stopped at Proffitt’s Resurrection Land Cruisers and was given a quick tour.

Jose, Looks like it was a good road trip. That crew cab is awesome. On a side note, I have been working on my 80 again and went away from the LS swap and will either leave it stock or do the Cruiser and Company turbo if the price point for the 94 isn't to egregious.
