Thought I'd share some before and after pics. I'm loving the ride of the 285 BFG's and they look tons better...The racks don't go on unless I'm taking the canoe or kayak somewhere. They are LOUD at hwy speed and along with the new tires don't do much for MPG's. All in all, looks a bit less mall cruiserish don't you think?

Plan on adding an air lift, getting some front mud flaps, and doing some head light upgrades. Maybe a suspension upgrade when the money fairy stops by.

Cheers,

B

Where did you get your rack? I'm looking for wide crossbars to add to mine so I can throw my boat ontop.

yes, definitely less mall cruiser, looks like a decent family truckster now. at least, thats the way i think of it, as i have the same philosophy with my LC so far: 285 BFGs, removed running boards, installed Bilsteins, and hit the trails. i might have to get a set of those yakima towers for my old yak equipment - thanks for sharing

If you are looking for a rack (or bike mounts, etc), buy Thule or Rocky Mounts as they are made in the US. Yakima outsourced all manufacturing to Asia.

Good looking truck. Nice to see another cruiser in eastern NC

Hey now, the Philippines makes great stuff, not to mention Japan (トヨタ)...just sayin.

Welcome to the 285 All-Terrains/running board removal club!

Amazing how an extra ~2" of tire and losing the love handles transform the LC100 from soccer momness to an acceptable level of badness in one swoop.

Nothing against lifts, but it's amazing what a stock LC on 285s can do right outta the box...I've run Broken Arrow in Sedona with only a few skidplate scrapes & dents...love the look on the Pink Jeep tourists' faces!

Love the look of your truck, man. Are those the A/T BFGs? As for the rack - is that the stock rack w/ just Yakima towers and crossbar added? Tks!

Checked the Yakima site. They have the grabbers @ $165 for a set of four and the crossbars @ $80 for a set of two. I'm hoping your local shop had them priced better....??

I got mine from Great Outdoor Provision company. Most any outdoor shop will sell Yakima stuff. I got the "rail grabber" attachments and I believe 58" crossbars

Which size claws (smaller or larger) fit your truck? Looking at getting a set off ebay and the listing claims that it comes w/ both size claws. Tks.
