You should be fine with that notch. It's the bottom of the mount that 'pulls away' from the frame when the sliders are in action.

My OPOR sliders have been working great. Really happy with them. They put in a good hard weekend of work up in VT at the Vermont Overland Rally. Took them off to clean them up and respray with some bed liner. They were down to bare metal in multiple spots after a year's worth of hard work.

FWIW, mine weigh 74# each.
