I am dangling a Toyota Sienna (read carrot) in front of my wife so I can snag my Land Cruiser from her. (We all have to make deals, at least those of us who are married)
I have put requests into Power Toy, Scott, Big Two, and Camelback. Is there a dealership, or individual at a dealership, that I should be including in my quest for the best deal? I have have pricing from Carsdirect too.
Please no s*** about me owning a minivan...the shame is more than I can bare. Its the only car she knows I won't modify.
Thanks...

Credit union?

Actually, there might be some potential...;)

I'm sure there's room in there somewhere for a turbo and modified exhaust, stiffen up the suspension a bit and send out the ECU for some performance upgrades. Hell a nice paint job on top of that and it would be a sweet minivan...

BUT STILL A MINIVAN:flipoff2:

Hell....that friggin' Sienna rides and drives better than the Land Cruiser! What a great vehicle. It should say Lexus on the outside. If anyone gives ya crap just smile as ya drive by with the LCD screens on and all the abundant room inside.

Brittan,
Don't take any sh&% from these a@#holes. :grinpimp: In the famous words of Bubba, "I feel your pain".

We (my wife) bought a minivan before the birth of our third daughter. We (my wife) bought a 2006 Sienna. The 4Runner just couldn't do it, there was no way to fit 3 car seats/boosters in the back seat.

You will find it is so much easier getting little ones in and out. The highway mileage is in the high twenties. In town it is only around 20. The part I am having trouble with is getting use to the clearance. I now have to pull into driveways abit slower. It drives good enough for us otherwise. It really shines on road trips.

We (my wife) were able to get a 3 year no interest loan. Just work on them, you'll find a deal you can live with. We (my wife) ended up getting a base model, but we are happy with it. It serves its purpose. They were much more willing to deal on this vehicle. Good luck.

I will say I am glad she did the purchase while I was out of town, she knew I wouldn't want to be present for the "purchase". I guess we can get rid of it in ten years or so as we kick our kids out.

The deed is done. The wife is happy and I'm happy to finally get my hands on the LC. I went with the XLE. Tempe (I refuse to call it Power) Toyota had the biggest selection of 06 models and gave me the best price from the start. I paid just over 28K with a 2.5K rebate. I figure when I start putting $$$ into the LC I won't hear about it from the wife.
Now to sell the Taco and start building the LC.
Birf party coming soon.

So that is what that loud cry of anguish was that I heard earlier. :grinpimp:

Welcome to the cool kids club!

'06 Sienna, and '94 Land Cruiser

Same here. '04 Sienna XLE, plus Cruisers. Hate to say it almost, but it's a great vehicle. 30K miles on ours and not one issue.

We should get a support group going!
Me - Hi...my name is Brittan, and I own a Minivan.
you - hi Brittan...you can take the sun glasses off now...you are among friends.

One of my friends wife's said she was going to put my wife through an intervention if she purchased a Minivan...

Truthfully I can't wait to take a trip in the damn thing. Lots of room...and I can sleep in it.

You guys are all FAGS! Buying a minivan is like giving up on life.

Man I wish I woulda caught ya before you pulled the trigger. My new neighbor is the fleet manager at Superstition Springs and he's also the guy that got me into both of the Sequoias for WAY under invoice.

I'd take a Sienna over a Sequioa 24/7. Seriously.

Not in a front ender with any one of the other four bazillion big ass SUV's on the road. I'll eat the mileage and the manuverabilty and the whole two big doors for access to keep the little ones a little safer in the center of the truck.

At 6-0 250# the Sienna is just too damned cramped to drive. We rented one the last time we went to Disneyland and the entire time, I regretted not taking the Sequoia instead.
