Finally pulled the trigger on tires today, first day in a couple weeks that I could spare the time.

Had 4 diff tires mounted on the truck today so i could chose:

1. Nitto TerraGrappler 275/70/18
2. Same, but in 295
3. BFG's in 275/70/18
4. GY Duratracs in 275/70/18

For me, it wasn't even close, was gonna be Nittos all the way after seeing all of them on the truck. The 295 TG's just looked too big, even with my small AHC lift, so I went with the 275.

I think they turned out great...make my black wheels look even better.

Nice!

Also, forgot to add, drove it around all afternoon, and these tires ride much smoother than my old Michelin LTXs. Expansion joints in the road no longer jar the truck, bumps are smooth, etc. So far couldn't be happier with the ride.

oh man, you went with the little tires! before we know it you're going to be hanging out with 240sx's and Integras. :flipoff2:

just kidding, those look great. It would be a tough call to go with my 90+ lbs 35's again. But then I can just roll over stuff that other guys have to get technical with.

Looking good. You still planning on stopping by this week? I am supposed to pick my truck up tomorrow and hopefully check out YetinGA's new rear bumper but other than that I should be near my house.

It all depends on scheduling. I am coaching a baseball team at the World Series in Seneca SC. If i wind up heading back by myself and can stop, I certainly will. I will email or PM you if it works out.

Yesterday I put Nokian WRG2 SUV 265/60R18s on wife's 100. I'm amazed at how quiet they are, I strained to hear any tire noise on the drive home, very quiet. They handled potholes and railroad tracks softly and smoothly, I'm very happy so far. This truck will get mostly driven on errands around town or neighboring towns, maybe a few 200-mile drives up north every year, never off-road. Expensive tires, but I would've wanted another set of Winter tires if I got cheaper all-seasons.

Looks good. I have been leaning towards the duratracs. You didn't like how they looked?

Do tire shops typically let customers try a set of tires on before deciding whether to buy or not? Let alone 4 different sets?? That's a lot of manpower and time that they're putting in. I understand our tires ain't cheap but is that typical

BTW, you're the first (and only) person I've encountered on MUD with the same nudge bar up front. I figure these things are kinda rare since I haven't seen any others with it. Way better look than the usual brush guards with the flimsy shroud over the headlights. Nice choice

The Duratracs looked good, but not better that the Nittos IMO. Certainly not worth a $300 premium in price.

I bet the tire change guy was hating you after the fourth change>LOL. Got pics of the other tires mounted?

Buddy of mine. He actually had a tech mount a diff tire on each wheel, so i had 4 diff tires on at once. Should have taken a pic...

Probably not typical, no...dealer is a friend.

Thanks, I love my TJM bar, even though most people on here call it a damage enhancer! Bought it from a MUD member, had it powdercoated black, love the look.

I just put the Duratracs on my rig, they look great not much noise at all for the aggressive tires they are. I have 15K miles on the same tire, different size on my 09 Taco.

Have the same tire (and same size). Big fan of the Nitto's. Ripped a sidewall up on a recent trip and went by the shop yesterday for a replacement. Glad I purchased the "road hazard" warranty. Cost me $33 for a new tire with disposal fees/etc.
