Had a pair of Scheel-Mann Vario F XXL’s installed in my 80 today. Legroom and headroom improved dramatically. I will say that if the seats are all the way back it leaves no legroom for the back seat.

Those look great.

That's some fine looking seating.:doh::clap:

Do you use all the new legroom? How tall are you?
I’m 6’5” with a 36” inseam. Im not using all the new legroom. I have 50 miles on them so far and I’m guessing that Im 1.5 inches farther back than stock allowed. One nice thing is my right leg isn’t leaning up on the shifter anymore, my knee bend is back past it now.

I got the seat warmer going this morning, you know it gets pretty cold here in Orange County California. The warmer seems better than the warmer in my wife’s GX460 but not as hot as the warmer in my 2022 Ford Mach E.

Did you ask for a lighter material? I want that exact color combo. The site shows them much darker.

snazzy

No. I just asked for the brown standard seats. They look pretty much like others that I have seen at the shop where they were installed. I will say my wife is a stickler for matching colors with things and I thought she would hate them but she really likes them.

Adjust the seat cushion forward, you'll be even more comfortable! Little dial above the adjuster. It can move about 2-3" forward from where it is in your pics. Supports the back of your thighs real nice.

That is the normal/stocked in the US brown color.

Thank you. I was a bit hesitant because of how dark their site shows it. I've only seen grey and black in person.

Is the increased head room, by the thinner seat or did it reduce the room under the seat?

I like the seating position off-road, where I can "look down" if you will. And I will have a thin mount sub under the seat.
Does the seat have adjustment up and down?

New seats is my next project on my 94. I've owned it for a decade but just now getting to make it a priority. Just had a new stereo put in, still had stock stereo. Is it possible to get these seats in a color that will match the stock grey? The mismatch would bug me. I'm planning to redo all 3 rows with new leather and foam, not much left of the front and middle rows I'm basically sitting on springs at this point.

No adjustment up and down. The seats are thinner for sure, if anything there is more (accessible) room underneath due to the low profile nature of the Planted bracket.

The grey seats match quite nicely, best pic I have on my phone but can get more on Friday:

Thanks. You mind taking one from the front showing the back seat in the photo with the front?

any ability to get a measurement of the space underneath? I saw one photo of these seats in another FJ that the bottom lifted up to access the space under, do yours do that or is that just a specific version? I am 90% certain I'll be going this route, but also want to plan ahead to make sure I know what I'll be working with and what can/can't be hidden under.

the seats look phenomenal btw, and jumping out of my GX and into the 80 I definitely can feel the need for a bit more leg room on longer trips

All the Vario’s lift up like that, it’s just how the seats are put together. There is a cotter pin that retains it, you pull that and then seat bottom comes up.

If you’re in the market I do a special for mud members where I include the planted brackets when you buy a set of two stocked seats.

Very nice!
