New 80 Day to me (4 Viewers)

Hey everyone!

I just picked up this 91. Has about 284k on the clock, but I hope to bring some more life to it. I’m new to Toyotas, so this should be a good learning curve for me. I have had Jeeps and Hondas most of my life, so hopefully I didn’t bite more than I could handle with this tank.

I’m goal is to get this reliable so I feel confident in making this my Daily. Eventually, I’d like more power, but for now, putting down the road like a tractor works for me. All power windows and AC works for that’s enough creature comforts for me.

Congrats. I daily drive my 97 and have spent the past 12 months tinkering/replacing almost every component. I’ve learned a lot, mostly from this site and YouTube (Timmy & Ottram).

Hate to say but you won't get more power out of it with ur 3fe. The 1fe (fzj80) has more hp than your fj80 and even that, Its pathetic.
If you were to get an fzj80, the 95+ can have magnuson super charger installed or a turbo. The 93/94 has little force induction support but the obd1 turbo is being developed.

Oh, I completely understand the limitations of the 3fe. I should have been more specific with that statement. I’d swap for an LS or even a turbo 4.2 Atlas. But, that would be waaaay down the road. I appreciate the feedback, and have enjoyed sifting through the years of knowledge on this site.
