New LC100 owner at the forum. Came across this rock slider option. Tempted to give it a shot, since it's half the price of everything else. Has anyone seen this before? $499 shipped.

Those look like they mount to the factory running board mounts on the body, not really a rock slider so much as a replacement running board. If you ever plan on using them on rocks, spend the money to get a set that mount to the frame.

Those are glorified running boards, will do more damage if you try to slide them over a rock and mess up your entire door.

Its actually kinda messed up they are listing those as rock sliders. Someones going to install those and find out the hard way.

The mounting bracket is the key here.

Compare this to actual sliders, you'll see the diff.

Thanks for your responses. Yeah, I figured it had a catch. Was contemplating the white knuckle off-road ones. Seem like they're pretty solid.
