Welcome to V-8 country!

Congrats on the purchase, Pimp.
You really do need to keep the gold -- it'll impress the Real Estate clients -- and I think you oughta think about keeping the brush guard, too -- for the same reason.

Hey, somebody in CullyFornya paid a lot of money for those options! You got 'em basically for free!

Well the black 100 is now at home with the herd....:) (and parked in the dirt ;)

I gotta say.....DAMN!! 100s sure are nice driving, LOTS of power, SUPER nice ride, sweet interior, much more room for us big guys(feel cramped in moms 97) So I'm pretty happy :)

Deal went real smooth, heck I never even did any paper work except sign 2 papers at the end, no 4 square write up(remember i use to sell cars).......just a good ole boy deal. Got my new 2nd key(with remote) thrown in. Got home and found I now have 2 tool kits ;) BTW dealer made 1k on the deal, fair for both of us. Neat bunch of guys....they actaully really aprecitated my 82 fj40 I drove today, when I was done I got in the 40....they said "what your not takin the 2000 home" na......I'll come get it latter.....;)

But when I got home and started playing with the CD player......it don't work, I was bummed out :( Called up the dealer, told Mark it didn't work, he said "no problem, we will fit it when you come in for the remote" heck I figured I was out in the cold, but nope.....he even checked with the sales manager and he said no problem.....it will be fixed. Now there is a slight chance I am doing something wrong, but I read the manual and its just not working, it loads the CD's just doesn't play em, then spits em out. (this is the indash 6 disc unit)

One other thing, the low beams don't cut it(I am use to 80watt H-4's) ,high beams are great low beams need more watts or something. Can the stock wiring handle higher wattage bulbs? also I didn't notice anyway to adjust the headlights? they don't need adjusting but i was curious

Oh, and in looking at the fusebox it has a fuse(not just an empty hole) for headlight washers......there arnt any headlight washers that I can see and my 2000 brochure doesn't say there is, yet there is a fuse in the spot for em, thoughts?

Took the rear taillight guards off. Not sure about the grill guard...its not bad, but will prolly replace with a ARB non Sahara bar. Gold.......well the jury is out on that ;) As for my clients, well I were jeans(or shorts) a baseball hat and boots.........so it will take more than gold to impress em..... :D

thats it, prolly have more newbie questions soon. But thanks ya all :)

So I pulled the taillight guards and wire inserts on the front guard, looks much better now.

applied a TEQ and Broken Birfield Bar sticker... :D

dang, what a collection!
congrats!

Pimp, Hey dude, I wouldn't come into the 80/100 for many others, but knowing how long you were considering a 100 series, CONGRATS.

Now you just gotta pry that 40th away from your mom, pick up about 30 other cruisers and you can consider this month's work done. :D

CONGRATS DUDE. Now get C something soon.

Sweet Ride. I took off my front toyota logo and painted it flat black. The rear logos come off with dental floss (used behind the logo to saw thru the glue) and then you can clean off the rest of the glue with goo gone.

Also, since your a farmer you should definitley order up the John Deere low beams, they make a difference and are relatively inexpensive.

Andrew

:D

PS - The 2000 has the stronger front diff than the '99.

There is a thread here somewhere about replacement bulbs that work well, called HIR, and apparently they're a John Deere part! So get searching ya newb!

Who wants to bet on how long until he installs a lift and bigger tires?

no this one is gonna stay stock, hard to explain this but having something stock has a great apeal to me right now ;)

Anyone know how a ARB bull bar effects a stock 100 :D

Thanks Junk :) I think you need one...you would like it.......but keep it stock, you need something that you didn't bugger up :flipoff2:

Mom........well she won't sell the 40th.......if she does Connie will get it. and hey! I did get Connie a sweet 90 FJ62 that she LOVES.

Hmm I'll do some searching. But arn't the 100's low beams a 9006? But I guess I can take my John Deere green fj40 to the John Deere dealer and see what they got ;)

Got any pics of the flat black emblems? I like the dental floss idea!!!!

Congrats on the new ride Pimp. I like the lineup, but you need to get all of them into the pic.

Here is a weak ass pic of the front emblem in flat black. This emblem just unscrews and can be painted and reinstalled quickly.

I removed the gold emblems on the back with the dental floss and replaced them with silver. This takes an hour or so, make sure you mark the current location of emblems with tape before removing them.

I have the arb deluxe winch bar and it can be used on the stock suspension however you may want to crank up the torsion bars a bit. I think it weights like 100lbs or something. I would install the bumper, drive it a couple of days, then crank up the t-bars a couple of turns.

Reagrds,

Andrew :D
