Hello everyone!
I have just returned from N. Carolina as the proud owner of a 1989 FJ62. It is a beautiful truck with about 239,000 miles but without a spot of rust. It has been meticulously maintained by the previous owner who was a surveyor and put most of the miles on the truck (hwy driving).
Here's the deal: when travelling highway speeds between 50-60 mph there is a wicked vibration that shakes the truck while accelarating. When I ease off the gas pedal, it goes away but comes back if I am feathering the gas pad ever-so-lightly.
Any thoughts? I thought it might be on the drive train, so I shot some grease in the front and rear propeller shafts but it did not stop the vibration.
Any help you can provide would be great!
