So my Metal Tech Sliders arrived on Monday. The freight company (Reddaway) ripped them off the pallet. Some scrapes but no damage. These are very well made and I'm looking forward to the install.

Nice!

Goes to show how dumb and careless people can be... nothing like seeing your expensive parts tossed around cause someone doesnt give two s***s.

Are those for the 80 or the hundy?
I really like metal tech!! I e got their tune fenders, full cage and I stole their design for their sliders. I just couldn't justify paying 300 bucks for their sliders when I could make em.
I plan on getting their front hoop and stinger set up.

They are for the 80. I wish I had the fab skills you guys have, but alas it's cheaper for my  skills to purchase.

MT builds a great 80 slider. I think you will be very happy.

With steel prices being what they are it seems like the buy vs build question is getting tougher. I'm buying materials for my FJ40 bumper/swingouts on the installment plan, I buy a little more stuff every month.

Depends. There are a few fabbers that got the price of their sliders down by using small diameter thin wall tubing. Some guys are starting to figure out the difference between $400 sliders and $800 sliders the hard way... Caveat emptor applies here too ;)

You get what you pay for...sometimes. ;)
