I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a new Landcruiser owner and new to the forums living in the Chattanooga, TN area. I've owned several Toyotas over the years including a '96 Tacoma, '94 4Runner, '06 Tacoma and a '09 Camry. In late October I purchased a 1999 Landcruiser I found at a local dealership with 129,000. It was clean with no rust and has the factory rear locker. It was purchased to be my daily driver.
While I love all the 100s on here that have been built up for serious off-roading, I don't really have any needs for armor, bumpers or lifts at this point so my goal has just been to have a clean, well maintained 100 that will last a long time. I've spent a good amount of time over the last couple of months reading articles on the forums and while I'm not that mechanically inclined, I was able to take care of a few things right out of the gate that needed to be done. I modified/trimmed the rear mud flaps, removed the running boards and removed the fender flares. I also installed WeatherTech floor liners and had a new stereo installed.
For the stereo I had a double DIN Alpine head unit installed along with JL Audio component speakers for the front and JL Audio Coax for the second row doors. They are running off the head unit. The head unit looks great in the factory location! I've really enjoyed the system as is but I do believe I will add an amp and sub at some point. (the factory amp and sub were bypassed)
The wheels are stock 16s and the 275/70 Michelin LTX M/S's were practically new so I will keep them for now. I do believe I'd like to have a larger A/T tire at some point as well as slider steps. At this point, I'm happy and will just keep it well maintained.
I love my 100 series and I'm so thankful for the knowledge and enthusiasm shared here on the forums.
Cheers!

PS: trying to get photos uploaded but having some trouble. I keep getting "error" after attempting to attach. I'll keep working on it though
