Been reading the site a bit prior to registering. You guys have been very helpful with the various posts. Bought the below '02 LC new in Sept 02. Currently has just under 230k. No modifications done and likely none planned. I had specifically chosen this vehicle based on its lack of rack, boards, etc. It was as stripped as one could get (though I added the trailer hitch as a dealer accessory) for that model year. I would have even preferred if the 3rd row seats, cd changer, etc. had not been made standard equipment!

Welcome- that cruiser looks showroom new. I have never seen an LC example delivered sans rack and boards.

Thanks. She has her blemishes, certainly, but she did just get a wax yesterday.
I can't quite remember how the options worked back then. Offhand, it seems that many of the cosmetic addons were done by the distributor. I occasionally see a similar vehicle but they are rare. I liked the cleaner look and the cleaner sticker! Buying the LC was a stretch at the time. If only we could buy new ones now for less than $50K!

Not at all, though I had been wanting an LC for over a decade at that time. Before buying this vehicle, I had a bad habit of frequently changing cars.
Starting 10 years ago, I changed jobs which resulted in a long commute. The LC racked up a bit of mileage for the next few years but was then taken out of the commute rotation.
