Thanks! I actually pulled the PWR OUTLET one all the way at the end (which was blown) so that seemed to do the trick. Now if you are also a bluetooth expert that would be great! haha

Not an expert but this is what I would do, -erase the prev owners BlueT saved devices or reset your stereo by unplugging the battery for 10 min-
I had that experience with the Nav IV from BMW, once the system is paired to a device it wont allow new devices to come in. So erase the settings and see if this helps. Not sure how long it takes if you do the battery method btw, but eventually the radio will reset. BUT ONLY DO THAT IF YOU HAVE THE RADIO CODE! Otherwise erase the settings manually.
Hope this helps.

Yeah I erased all previous phones that were in there and it's still not connecting. I went to dealership for an inspection sticker and one of the salesmen volunteered to help me out and we still couldn't get it. However, his phone would connect so I'm guessing it is something with my phone, not the LC. At least I'm due for a new phone and that's probably a hell of a lot cheaper than trying to fix the car haha.

In other news, spent these past couple days giving it a good detail. Started out renting one of those Rug Doctors with the wand and went to town on the carpets. There's still a smell that I can't seem to get out so I'll have to try to get that out with a heavy duty odor eliminator.

Then did a basic wash, single stage compound and topped it off with a wax. The hood could probably use a wet sand thanks to what I'm guessing were some berries that didn't get washed off, but everything else looks pretty damn good for 140K.

All in all happy with the results. It won't be a garage queen it's whole life but I figure it deserves a little TLC right before winter.

Nice looking rig for sure =)

Thanks guys, got the bluetooth to connect somehow. Don't know what did it as I didn't do anything differently, but that's not to say I'm not pumped!

Now, who knows a thing or two about getting rid of old odors (not smoke thankfully)? :)

You might want to remove the two front seats, the area between the seats near the console is hard to get up to clean and easy to spell stuff into.

Also lift up the center console at the cupholder and check to see what kind of treasures you may find under there. My seat heater and power/second gear take off switches were all a bit sticky from spilled coffee over the years. I was able to clean those and get them working well again.

When I bought my truck about a year ago it was a pretty well used soccer mom mobile. I took the whole interior out and cleaned everything and those are some of the worst spots. After a thorough cleaning happy to report that it came out pretty darn good!

Alright I'll see if I can find the time to dig around in there. I just used a rented Rug Doctor two days ago and did the whole interior (front, 2nd row with seats down AND folded, and even the tailgate) but it still seems to be lingering.

I'm assuming taking the seats out is pretty straightforward so I guess that's the next step. Either that or get a serious Ozone bomb or something that I circulate through the AC/Heater core and let sit in the car for a while.

It's not that strong, and it's not that bad, but I'd still like to make a concerted effort to get it out before I give up on it.

Another quick newbie question: Does the "LAND CRUISER" name plate on the lift gate come apart/separate? Reason I ask is because the letters are still chrome (and in good shape) but the backing plate has been painted black (probably by the previous owner) and is starting to peel. Can I take it apart, letter by letter, re-spray, and re-assemble?
