Hey everyone,

I think its time to introduce myself and my 80. So my name is Jones and I got my 80 a little over a year ago for free from the original owner since they upgraded to the 200 series, and it didn't run well. It has oil pressure problems and a missfire. I got it drivable the very next day. It doesnt have lockers but it was free so who would complain haha.

Since then I did a full rebuild and gotten everything back into proper running order again. For now it is completely stock minus a new stereo since the old one stopped working.

Future plans: New tires, 2.5" lift, extending breathers, and maybe some armor upgrades. :)

I look forward to seeing everyone around and maybe do a few trails with everyone! I will post pictures later as since I am on my work computer. :eek:
 
We usually get together every month. February was a busy month for all of us.

What year is your truck and where exactly are you? Just to see who is closest to you. Can't wait for the pictures. Aloha

Yeah, it was bought by the original owner at Toyota dealership in Gresham Oregon when it was new, I have the full service history. Its a 95' and I'm in Tacoma fairly close to the east side and parkland area.

Nothing special about the 80 yet. Paint is pretty scratched up since It wasn't taken cared of that well and when I took it on some heavily overgrown trails sure didn't help it either haha. Ill be sure to take some pictures and post them tonight.

Haha funny stuff.

No worries on the paint, we will just scratch it up more on surprise lake run this spring! Nice truck and awesome deal!
You got a family ans kids or anything? Make sure you keep checking back here for dates for this months party. We may hold one back down south if we get any interest.
 
Thanks! I dont mind scratching up the paint at all, it gives it more character. I have a GF and she enjoys outdoor activities as much as I do so you'll be seeing us around. As for a party, I am always down and don't mind traveling a little bit since I work in Seattle and live in Tacoma.
 
Welcome! Great to see another local.

As the others have said, keep your eyes peeled for some events here soon. We try to get together at least once a month, and more so during the summer for longer trips.

Let me know if you ever need anything, I'm in Tacoma also.

I'm in the green 80 with gray herculiner on the lower portion... generally with a lab/husky mix in the backseat :cheers:

I wish I had one too. That would be so cool. I think I might go hit some trails this weekend if my buddy comes along since i don't like to go alone. haha.
 
Its been awhile. Heres a little updated picture of my 80. I lifted it 1", extended all the breathers, sealed all the ignition components as best as I can. Spartan rear locker, CDL switch/Pin 7 mod. CB, removed bent running boards, Snorkel, some extra lighting and some 285's. I plan on getting some sliders sometime in the next few months and some other tidbits here and there.

Looking great man! What kind of snorkel? And what do you think about the locker? Did you do the install yourself? If so, how was it?
