Hi Everyone!

My name is Nikita and I live in Calgary. After long time of research, decision making and waiting for a fair deal, I finally dropped my cash, 8700$ for white 2005 GX470.

It is in great condition with little over 200k km and small spots of rust that I already addressed (mb will post another thread).

Despite that the car is voracious on gas, it is extremely comfortable, reliable and fun to drive! I love this baby and absolutely happy with my first car I got!

Nice find! Looks like you have already cleaned up the headlight‘s. I would start off next with removing that clear bra. A rubber grind wheel and some goo gone should do the trick.

And what’s up with the low rider stance? Gotta get some height! Lol

Welcome! If you FB go join mud there and GXOR.

Thanks! Yes I am planning to remove those clear bra as they are peeling off and vexing to the eye. Should I leave it without any film or do you cover up the front with the protection film? If so where do people usually buy them?

with how brittle the paint is, especially the white... I'd say remove it, clean and clay bar it, wax it then re apply new clear bra...

you can find it on Amazon if you want to do it yourself... but 3m is the maker. they have a "search for installer" but it doesn't list Canada. you could try contacting the folks on this list... see if any would do it

also, some times if you talk to one of the dealer installers you can get them to do it on the side for cash A LOT cheaper.

Thanks! It is very helpful! I just googled 3M and I see a couple Auto Body Protector companies in Calgary. I will give a call to them and ask how much they would ask for the job.
