googletag.impl.pubads. Hi people, have been looking at site for long while now, very interesting stuff.I am starting restoration on my shorty that I have had for 23 years now. I do have some questions on trying to obtain or re create the vent in the roof, have looked at various pics on here, mine used to have one till I had it re sprayed 18yrs ago,guy took it out, glassed over hole and thru everthing out ! Am told I should put in fj25 section as its considered early.

Hey thanks, have been reading your story on the 61 mod, very cool! I plan on trying to return it back to original,Well as original as I can do! have another which is a 64fj40 for parts, someone has turned it into a mini ute! its missing gearbox an rear diff. not sure what to do with it,it does have 16" wheels that appear original that I would like for my 63 mod. I only bought it because it had an 'F' motor and vent under front window like my 63 mod.

haha so thats where it went. i rang boyup brook? about that one but had been sold. very good; there will be lots of handy pieces on there for your resto. there also a very rusty 64 in a sa wrecking yard; cant remember what roof was like. another mudder andydudge is in perth restoring a 64. flick me a pm with a number or email if you wish and i may pop around for a beer an chat about old tojos if that suits you.

yea the 61 is a rotten rusty old lump that no-one in their right mind would play with. it just appealed to me because its column shift and ultra rare in aus. im looking on it as a challenge!

Great to see another local on Mud with an early 60's Cruiser!
I've seen your 63 around. Looks to be in good condition.
I hope the Restoration goes well. All the best with it.
