Hey George,

You know I just cry wolf, but do you have a definitive or even a guesstimate price on these babies yet?

I tried skimming through the thread, but failed to see it.

Thanks for making these available!

Pricing will be the same as the previous models - $30 each.

cheers,
george.

That is a nice price, over here in Japan i just bought two Raybrig units for 5,000 Yen each - I bought them for the overhead, the price is a killer but I had to have it!!!

Your prices are great considering all the work you put into these and I am sure your soldering techniques are better than most.

I'll definitely take two.

Maybe it was a good thing I missed out on the previous version :D.

Ok - I've tested them in an FJC and they fit beautifully. So, I now officially open the flood gates to ordering the new style dome modules. Nice thing is that the same tab length works for the FJC and 60/80 so I don't have make different flavours.

If you want to order them, they are $30 each. Pack/ship is $4 (US) or $5 (International). Please email me at george at taskled . com and I'll send you the payment details (paypal or cheque/money order etc).

Here's a few pictures of them installed in an FJC and the comparison front/rear with LED versus stock.

Put me down for 3 when they are ready to ship....

Already can't wait to be able to see inside my dimly lit rig.

Thanks

Great work George - I may have to look into the rear dome module mod for the 80 first and then put this in!

Sweet! YGM!

Need them for our fj60 both the dome and the cargo light; do they replace the entire unit or only the bulb?.......my plastic and bakelite are toast!

How does this 70 lumens of LED light compare to the 120 lumens produced by a 10W incandescent bulb when placed in the dome lights?

:bounce: Just got them in. :D

They're much smaller than I expected. Too cold to put them in today. Hopefully this weekend.

Thanks again George!

Got mine today too and wasn't expecting the size difference as well. You can tell the newer ones are slightly brighter though.:)

You can wait 'til this weekend to install 'em? As soon as I got back from the mailbox my first stop was the Cruiser and then the LX.:D

Do you have any comparison pics?

ha ha ha - sorry, but the incandescent light is DIM DIM DIM compared to the LED module. 120 lumens from the 10W bulb - maybe in all directions. Anyhow, all I can say (backed up by LOTs of folk that have installed them) my LED modules blow away the stock incandescent... seeing is believing.

cheers,
george.

I just got done taking a bunch of pics w/ my wife's digicam and can't really tell a difference from the pics I took. Guess it's one of those things where you have to be there or my wife needs a new a camera.:)

To take pictures you will need to lock the exposure settings otherwise the camera's autoexposure will adjust the capture parameters to provide a consistent image brightness.

cheers,
george.
