Searched and didn't find any threads for this newer tire. Wildpeak AT3Ws are pretty popular, so probably some interest floating around for a new R/T in that family.

Already seems to come in all the popular sizes for 17/18/20 inch wheels. There is 35x11.5R17 and in 18s and 20s also. They run heavy like the AT3ws.

In my search, looks like 2 forum members have them on their 200s, both in the LT285/75R17 size.

Not sure if anyone is running these yet. If not I'll be the first. I have a set on order at Discount Tire with an appointment for an installation next Friday. 35x11.5R17. The fact that these are offered in an 11.5 wide size and people seem to love the Wildpeak ATW3 tires has convinced me to try these as both sets of Nitto RGs have had various issues with chunking after ~30k miles

Very cool. Looking forward to hearing how they perform and treat you.

Me too

Hopefully they're not too noisy. Otherwise I'm expecting similar performance to my Nitto RGs. If they perform better I'll be thrilled. I'll try to remember to repost to this thread in a few weeks

These were the 2 I found.

From what I've heard they shouldn't be too loud, quieter then a MT louder then a AT. Pretty much the usual tire jargain answer to road noise.
Are these C rated too? Should make for a more compliant , soft ride with all that sidewall.

Here's a recent YouTube review who noted how quiet they are.

They are C rated though I think I read they were 3-ply and stiffer than a normal C-load tire. I'm currently running E-rated Nittos so any softness I might gain in the sidewall while still retaining rock-abrasion capabilities of an E-load tire would be nice. The fact that they come in 11.5 wide is awesome as I think a 12.5 wide 35" tire would scrub my rear fender on full compression

I'll let the group know what I think compared to the Nittos. I've not run BFG KO2s so I can't compare to the de facto A/T tire, and I can't recall 85k miles ago what the factory tires felt like.

Had them on since the beginning of June. Had a couple sets of wildpeak at3w’s prior. Planned to buy wildpeak mt’s next but they didn’t have the size I wanted and then discovered they now have an rt. So far so good maybe 1k on them, not much louder than the quiet at’s before.

I will be ordering a set as well in 285/75/17 for methods 701....will report back once installed. I currently run bfg ko2 and what a great tire that was.

I switched from Cooper Discoverer last year, Falken are great tires, no noise, great traction, no problems.

I am thinking about getting a set of these to replace my K02s. How is everyone liking them? Was looking at the 285/75/17. I have the E load K02s so was unsure if I want to get the E in these or go with the C load rating.

I’ve got maybe 5k on mine so time will tell. They are C load 35x11.5 vs my Nitto 285/75r17 (34”) E load. Definitely softer and less harsh a ride but it’s probably a combination of C vs E load, 1/2” more sidewall, and 3-4 psi less.

Noisier than the Nitto RG but not painfully louder. So far handled fine in some snow we got here in Chicago but it’s been a mild winter. No chance to see how it’ll do on trails yet.

Thanks for the update. It has been mild, a little, south of you also other than some ice last month. Still undecided between C and E.

I won't know until I abuse them but my gut says the C load tires will be just as strong offroad. These IIRC were the HD Duraspec or whatever extra strength variant. So I didn't feel the need for E load. And on a 35, even with a ton of weight in the rear with a trailer attached when I did the math it was IIRC 50psi was good for something like 5500# on the rear axle, which is more than even I carry.

Other AT tire thread had me remembering I wanted to put this feeler out. When my Ridge Grapplers died I put a set of these on to try something new--it's been about 3K miles and I've had one trail trip with them and I have to say I am not impressed. I'm not sure if it's the rubber compound or perhaps they're more stiff and don't want to flex as much over rocks, but these do not feel sticky at all. I was getting hung up and slipping on rocks that I would have never looked at twice with the RG's previously--I'm talking like a single smooth rock the size of a large watermelon set next to some roots; I actually had to back up and use speed to bump over it. Couldn't make it up one particular rock obstacle because it just would not grip at all. Anyone else with these have a similar experience? I really wanted to like them because I've always heard how great the AT3's were and was hoping their RT would be a winner too.

I just got back from Cruise Moab and I was not impressed, even at 16psi. I don’t know if it was the tires or the fact that I have a lot of weight in the rear (fridge, drawer, spare tire, bumper, water, propane, etc) but MTS was kicking in a TON for me on Hells Revenge. Part of that was I could feel the front end lighten from the weight shift on steep inclines, but I ended up enabling the rear locker a number of times to get traction where I was bouncing like a basketball.

I feel my RGs did much better before but admittedly I didn’t run Hells with 500# of sh*t hanging off the rear before either. If I can get 35x11.5 RGs in the future I likely will swap back and try them again though.

Interesting to hear another mixed / poor review on this tire. Out of curiosity after installing these tires was an alignment and a subsequent zero point calibration performed ?
In the past I have noticed the traction control/ABS kicking in More than usual after an alignment and before i had an opportunity to do the zero point calibration.

I personally did not do an alignment because it had just been at Slee a week and a half before and they did one then. My go to shop for tires said I likely should not need another so soon even with the change in size; no the zero point calibration as well. I did try a variety of MTS settings to see if it would change anything, but it did not. It did feel as though it was kicking on fairly frequently, but I was also spinning almost immediately upon trying to climb something

I too am now more heavy in the rear than before and perhaps did not consider the implication of shifting weight rearward on climbs either. With my RG's I was stock rear with only drawers. When I got the Wildpeak RT's I had an LRA, rear bumper, and drawers too
