After realizing that my family has grown and all of my camping gear is VERY old, I decided to update. I got a cot bunk bed for the kids, which are really comfortable and a single XL cot for me that Faith and I almost fit on. I have a 3" pad for it and its as comfortable as any bed you will lay on.Today, my tent came in. It's a Kodiak 10x14 canvas tent. It took me about 10 minutes to erect and get taught for the first time. It will take longer(or maybe the same time since now I am familiar with it) because there are about 14 stakes to drive in and in hard ground, it's going to be a little bit of work.

on the smaller cot...if you ever want to use it without the pad....all you do is take one of the end bars off and it will allow some slack and give in the canvas. they are same as we use in military but we dong get pads......when new with both end bars in place the thing can be almost as hard as a floor. LOL

ready to try it on carolina beach in the wind one time :)

My Partner Stove came in today. This was inspired by FMKV(thanks!!). I have been on the look out for a good quality stove after using junk for past coupe decades. Being in the restaurant business, i use and abuse equipment. i have seen all types of quality and there is a lot out there that will not give the longevity of equipment of old.
With that being said, I really appreciate the design and quality of this stove. I am very impressed but only time will tell and I need to fire this thing up.
Camping will not be the only intended use for this stove. I was looking for something to be able to use on caterings and for when power goes out due to storms.

How compact do the bunks fold up?

Those cots are pretty cool.
