Well, after spending $ on the on the Slee harness, HIDs, etc I decided to retire my cracked RH headlight assmembly for - gasp - C$500  (comes with bulbs - just what I need) - then there's the price of the hub cap  . Anyway, I decided that I had to replace for safety reasons and because every time I do a water crossing I fry the bulbs...

CDan - if you see this, the part number is 100-73998 - does this show on your system as anything? I really wonder if the only difference is the trim pieces that are screwed onto the headlight assembly. It still find it hard to believe that they would manufacture a completely different assembly for the same truck...

I plan to cut the other one open (ie the glass from the back) to see if it can be done and glued back together.

Assuming it mounts level in the truck, do I actually need to do any adjustment (ie Right to left)? Second question, there is a R/L set screw, above that is a plastic part that also looks like it adjusts something (it seems to be attached to the rod that indicated the R/L adjustment. It didn't come with instructions...although I haven't checked the FSM

Cheers, Hugh

Hugh,

The number is not a Toyota number, It should be 10 digits in this manner: 81150-60361.

I imagine the LX assembly has sight glasses like the 80. In that event you should have a couple of level bubbles that are used to aim the lamp. It will likely be close but not dead-on.

Thanks Dan - Interesting - if anyone has a light out of their truck, take a pic of the front and back and we can compare the differences....

Cheers, Hugh
