That is a minor pan-arch leak IMHO. It could be ignored/monitored for a long time before corrective action is required.

What is a pan-arch leak?

Do you mean a warped pan or warped pan mating surface?

VG,

The best option for getting rid of the faux wood trim is to get rid of it. Take a heat gun or a hair dryer and peel it off.

Junk peels his off when he is tired of picking boogers from his nose at stop lights. I chiseled mine off. These methods also work though they're a bit crude for you Lexus guys.

Lurker,

The rear main seal is contained in a removable retainer that bolts to the engine block at the tranny engine interface. The upper oil pan has a curved portion that mates up with the bottom of this retainer. That's where the leak is said to occur. It's difficult to confirm whether it's the pan-arch retainer interface that is leaking of the rear main seal that is inside the retainer just above the pan-arch interface.

Replacing the rear main seal will cost you ~$1000 at the dealer. My PO found that out the hard way.
