I popped into a couple of threads in the past few days so I figured I would say hello officially.

My name is Bill and I live in Clayton. I have an 08 Sandstorm FJ and I have to admit I love the darn thing. I have been married for 14 years this summer to my wife Julie. If I go anywhere she will be along for the ride. I work for Mosaic Tile and Julie for Biogen. We met in the Marine Corps back in 94'.

If you ever see us don't hesitate to say hello. We get recognized everywhere.

Here is a pic of our FJ the day I got it. Now OEM roof rack equipped. ;p The only real plans are for a leveling kit, front bumper, sliders, skid plates and BFG AT's. Famous last words right????

This is Julie and I down at NASA last year. Awesome tour but really pricey.

Thanks in advance for the warm welcomes that I just know are to follow. ;) I look forward to meeting you all real soon.

Hi Bill, welcome! and that is a very nice FJC! I hope you do not take for granted that your wife goes along for the ride - that is very cool. I hope we can meet you at a club event some time soon!

Hi Bill and Julie, Welcome to ih8mud and the ONSC forum. Lots of ideas floating around here so keep you to do list in check or it will grow.. Look forward to meeting you both.

Hi Bill - great looking cruiser, welcome. I wish my was as willing to come along (she is kinda willing), but will not camp in the winter or primitive camp :)

Looking forward to meeting you both.

Brad

Howdy Bill and Julie! Welcome aboard! Nice FJC, not a color you see often, me likey!

Welcome to the addiction. I am sure you'll be wishing you never found this site once you get her out on the trail and decide to purchase a few "enhancements". Love the color btw, can you guess why...

She should be used to my "enhancement" purchases by now. In 14 years of marriage nothing I've ever driven has stayed in factory configuration for long. Here is a taste of what she has had to endure.
90 300zx sport 500 turbos and forged short block
85 CJ7 SOA conversion
97 Camaro SS head/cam/dana 44
99 Camaro SS everything but the shortblock
04 EVO
93 Z28 cam/stall
99 Z28 convertible gears/cam
95 M3 coilovers/boltons
78 CJ5 SOA
00 TJ 3" lift
She thought she would be slick and buy the extended warranty for the FJ in the hopes that I will not modify it too quickly. AHAHAHAHA yeah, lets see how long it takes before I get it voided. I had parts picked out before I bought it.

Thanks for the warm welcome. There should be no reason for me not to be able to attend on the 21st. Maybe then I can pay my annual dues. I'd prefer not to utilize paypal if at all possible.

Don't even get me started on past vehicle builds....37 and counting. At some point I will have to post picks of them all, and to think it all started with a 1972 FJ55....that's another thread.

Welcome aboard. When that color came out I seriously considered getting an FJ, a great look!

Welcome! I work in Clayton so you might see my green machine in the area once in a while. Although this SHOULD be the weekend it goes under the knife, I'm mean grinder....

Welcome! Very nice color...I'm a huge fan of it. You've gone through some fun cars. Look forward to meeting you .

More greetings and salutations from another FJC owner. Yeah, I started with wanting just a lift, then saw the importance of sliders, skids plates, a steel bumper here and there. I keep telling my wife its "done" but something else comes up...

Hope to meet you guys, we've got a great group to hang out with...

Welcome!
