Hello all,
I'm new to the LC world, but not the Toyota world. We currently own an 07 limited Sequoia (the wife's)...love it! My current vehicle is an MDX and will be making an 8 hr drive to pick up our next vehicle; the 2007 LC.

The reason for the purchase is that I want a Toyota SUV that isn't quite as large as our 1st Gen Sequoia. The LC seems to be the perfect choice.

This one has had the timing belt and water pump changed at 75k miles. It currently has a little over 125k on the mileage and has a very good Carfax mx record. The interior is in amazing shape and they are asking under $20k. If these LC's are any thing like my Sequoia, then with regular fluid changes and timing belt/water pump; then I should easily be able to see well into the 200k on mileage.

Here is my question. I have never driven an 07 LC! Lol. This particular one is being sold at a Toyota dealership and is perfect for us. The one question I have for my fellow LC owners is if any of you have ridden in or owned an MDX? Reason being is that I defiantly need more 2nd row leg room than what is in my 2009 MDX. My kiddo is 2 years old, and with me being 6ft 4in tall; I usually have to move my seat uncomfortably forward.

We have zero issues with the Sequoia.

I've looked at the legroom specs online, but would like to get some first hand knowledge and advise from any LC owners...especially from any fellow tall folks out there.

Anyway, take care...I'll get some pics up if this deal goes down!
Take care,
Thriller

I am 6'4" and I am very comfortable driving on long trips in the Land Cruiser with the driver's seat all the way back. There is plenty of room for adults in the second row, even w driver's seat all the way back, and the seats are very comfortable.

I have driven an MDX. The LC has a lot more room than the MDX, and in my opinion the geometry/ergonomics of the Land Cruiser are awesome. You sit higher-up in the land cruiser, whereas the MDX is more like a sports car, and the difference will take some getting used to. Visibility from the driver's seat of the Land Cruiser is very good and well thought out. Unlike either the Sequoia or the MDX, there are no blind spots in the Land Cruiser.

<$20k for a 2007 Land Cruiser w 125k miles sounds like a good deal. Almost too good to be true from a dealer. I would be sure to inspect it very thoroughly.

That price is at least 10k less than a nice 2007 would cost from a dealer in the Pacific Northwest, and it seems like your dealer should know the market price.

Hope this helps.
Good luck!!

The leg room at second row seats is a bit less. This problem was addressed in 200 series.

Agreed. I've been looking for an 06/07 and this is a screaming deal. I would thoroughly inspect the vehicle before buying it. Make sure the undercarriage isn't seriously rusty. Seems odd to be at such a low price.

Good luck though!

I own a 2006 LC and a 2008 MDX. I'd say the MDX is more comfortable - in both the front and middle rows. The LC feels really big in the front seats - it's upright, wide open and damn roomy. But the middle row legroom is actually pretty bad for such a big SUV. My 5'9" daughter will NOT sit behind me in the Land Cruiser.

Further evidence the 2006/2007 Land Cruiser was targeting 65+ men, whose kids had left the nest. Think about it... a $70,000 luxury SUV with a tape deck, CD changer, no MP3 jack, a cigarette lighter, crappy rear seat room...

My friend's 2013 Subaru Impreza (not the Legacy. Not the Forester. Not the Outback. Not the Tribeca - the Impreza) WRX wagon has 3-4" more legroom than my Land Cruiser.

I have a 2004 LC and a 5 month old. I am 6'3 on a great day. His rear facing seat has to go in the middle of the second row so that I can put my seat all of the way back with only the slightest tilt to the seatback. I actually like being rather upright. If his seat base and carrier were to be right behind me I'd have to slide forward about an inch, which is doable. On a side note, when we load up into my wife's 2010 Subaru Forester my son and I cannot be on the same side of the car and there is no middle of the seat option in the second row.

All of that to tell you that at 2 years old and facing forward, there shouldn't be a seating issue with you or your youngster in that LC.

I'm about 6'4" and all of my buddies are above 6' tall. Even if there are two big guys sitting in the front seats, there has never been a complaint about leg room in my truck. In fact, my truck is usually the go-to for leg room when there are more than 2 people riding.

I don't think you'll find size an issue for seating but what's up with that extremely low price? Maybe get an Autocheck history too?

5'10" and I can move the seat so far back I can't reach the pedals, I can also move the seat so far forward it nearly crushes me. Most of my family is short, but the ones that aren't are very tall (6'1"-6'7"). They have all ridden in the back and I have never had any complaints. The 100 Series rear seats are incredible. We own several different vehicles and we can complain about each rear seat, except the 100. This is the main reason we choose a 13 year old, over weight and under powered Toyota over a S65, E55, Q5 TDI, S4 and A4. You won't have any issues.

I think I would go find a truck locally and try it on for size before making the eight hour drive. Everyone is different, and what I like, you might not.

That said, I'm 6'2" and have driven TLC's for the past 15 years. I fit in them and I like them. I have a wife and two kids. The TLC's fit the bill perfectly for us. My dad is also 6"2", but his sitting height is greater than mine. He has owned Suburban's and Tahoe's and loves them. He doesn't like my TLC or LX and says they're uncomfortable. Oh well.....

My colleague at work has an MDX. It's a nice car, but I far prefer my TLC.

I'm 6' and ride with the driver seat all the way back, never heard any complaints from adults in the second row. (Kid complaints don't count, they can get a job and their own vehicle)

I agree that for a vehicle of its size, the backseat legroom is a little cramped. That being said, I don't see it ever being an issue.

I have a 2006 and 4 of us have driven from Cleveland to Hilton Head with clubs and luggage with no problems. Good luck.
