Any vendors have gears for the FJ80 axles? It would be nice to have some 4.88's or better to A) deter me from speeding, B) allow me to run wider/taller tires without straining too many components, and C) give me a better crawl ratio. Already searched, but it was a very fast skimming search so links or whatnot would be nice, and sorry for being a noob, I guess.

searched "re-gear" and none of it was helpful...I guess I gotta do my own digging...be back in 10 days! LOL...

ok, gonna re-word my question, where can I get some 4.88s or 5.29s for a landcruiser? Google sucked...

try reider racing, just got a pair of Precision Gears 4.56 from them really cheap. Tried R&P and they wanted $60 more.

Also give a look at Randy's Ring and Pinion (Yukon Brand) or Precision Gear. they should be able to help you out. Marlin Crawler also sells the Yukon stuff ( http://www.marlincrawler.com/3rd_cruiser.html )
This has been discussed in depth numerous times. To sum it up, the highest quality R&P is the Toyota OEM stuff, but it is expensive and IIRC only available through 4.88:1. Then the opinion seems to be that Precision Gear stuff is the next best.

I purchased my 4.88's from Reider Racing myself and was very happy with the service. They are Precision Gears.

Im running 4.56's right now although swapped 4.88s in for awhile. Likely going to stick with 4.56 but I don't really wheel.

Man I miss the Jersey sarcasm... Thanks Junk! Now I’m home sick...

Randy's R&P seems to lean more towards service - installation booklet, gear marking compound, etc. Reider racing does have decent price for 4.56s but they don't seem to go the extra mile, IMHO.

What lead you to swap the 4.88's for 4.56's? I have been planning to go with 4.88's with 36's. Was there much of a difference in noticeable crawl speed?
