ARCHIVE NEW Gauge Option for FJ60's!!

I appreciate the input and I am sending it to the manufacture.

The problem is that these kits we designed with the V8 swapped guys in mind. Yes the tach reads to 8K but it shows everything in between as well..

I can't imagine there would be a large enough group buy to have over 100 gauges made..?

I will also talk to him on the center spot for the 60. I think we can make that happen pretty easily but again, enough have to be on board.

Thanks
Matt

Can you send me pricing for a 1981 FJ40 and also the 1984 FJ60? Have to start planning out the 2018 Land Cruiser budget! Plus I have a question on the cable driven speedo and odometer...you mention options there as well as a GPS driven speedo....I believe these old cruisers have a mechanical speed sensor located in them that send some sort of signal to the old school control units. I could be wrong there, or maybe these can be eliminated with no adverse affects.

We appreciate any vendor who will offer part solutions to our old trucks and I'm not trying to negative in any way towards your endeavors, but...

The 60 Series Land Cruiser is a tiny, niche market. If you limit that market to the even smaller subset with modern Vortec conversions (who can afford, want, and haven't already installed gauges), you aren't leaving enough left to generate your optimistic 100 piece group buy.

If your manufacturer could replicate the OEM bezel then offer adapters for the aftermarket gauges, you would be selling to significantly larger market. And you would be the sole provider of a NLA plastic part which are starting to disintegrate from age in every 60 on the planet.

Just sayin'.

I just spoke to the manufacture and they are willing to look at a stock replacement dash for you guys.

The whole theory to me at least.. Is that I like newer ACCURATE gauges. This setup gives you that. Modern, calibrated gauges that actually have numbers on them to show TRUE Oil pressure, Temp, Speed, etc.

I have an 84 FJ60 I will use for pics and plan to install this. My stock gauges are crap and I never know what ACTUAL temp I am running and truthfully, I just don't trust them.

I come from the Muscle Car market where guys demand accurate readings on whats going on with their engines. When I go wheeling, my eyes are always on the gauges. Temp as we are out in 100+ degree temps, crawling in low with almost no air movement. Poke a hole in the oil pan with a maybe working stock gauge and who knows if it will warn you in time. These are the things some of us think about with products like this.

I know it's not for everyone and I personally have $0 invested in this. We just wanted to bring something modern to a great classic truck!

More to come

Have a great weekend guys!

I was wondering if you had put these into your FJ60? If so can you post some pics of your set up, or any FJ60 if available?

Thanks!

Hello, here are the only 3 pics I have right now. Please contact me for larger pics, I need to get them from the manufacture.
Thanks,
Matt

Ok thanks. Too shiny for my preference, doesn't match the interior of an old Land Cruiser. Also, something they should consider is putting a clock, gauge or something in the large flat space between the gauges. Maybe an analog round clock to match the factory look of original design layout. Just some ideas...

The dash ABS itself comes in flat black, brushed aluminum or carbon fiber. Many will use the brushed or just paint it to their liking.

I will pass along the clock idea but the problem is so many see these as too expensive so adding a $100-200 clock in there will just push them up more. These gauge systems were developed mainly for the V8/LS sway guys as they simplify that swap a lot.

Thanks,
Matt
