Just bought a 94 FZJ80 with factory lockers, ARB winch bumper, OME 2", ARB rack, 315s and factory diffs. My first LC.

Took it out to Big Cypress and did the ORV trails in Bear Island. Nothing too challenging but it was a good time. Plus I went primarily for the camping.

Are there any other trails around here? I've heard JW Corbitt, but my rig is my DD so I'm not looking to sink it. Also heard of Lazy Springs in Naples, but I'm looking for something more outdoorsy.

Would love to get out and just ride somewhere. If anyone is interested in riding and camping at Big Cypress (or even lazy springs) this weekend hit me up.

Welcome!

Man, lots of new rigs down there! There was just another thread asking the same questions - check it out if you haven't already:

I don't think there's a whole lot of encouraging news. Florida itself isn't all that great for wheeling, but we manage.

Of course, there's always the mud fests that proliferate, and there's quite a few down there (Ft Pierce / St Lucie / Okeechobee ).

If you can, you should join us for GSMTR. Now THAT'S a blast ;)

Saw that other thread, but hoped I'd have better luck if I started a new one ;)

Tons of mud down here, but I guess deep down I wish I was in the NE or W for some scenery. There is talk of opening up all the units of Big Cypress for street legal 4x4s, instead of just the one.

I'd love to go to GSMTR, but unfortunately my week off work and law school ends the weekend of the 9th, so I'm a week too late.
