new fj60 & question

I picked up a new fj60 today , this one will be my "Rig" while my doo doo brown 60 will become a pats truck for this one, its a 83 white , 142k on the clock every thing works great in the interior is rhino lined very well no rips in any seats, power steering wines horribly an leaks but thats what the donor is for. but the motor purs and idle at 450-500 like nothing. the truck was origniaal a cali truck, but has been heres for 10 yrs. has a decent amount of rust in the body, but the frame is SOLID. thats all i really care about. I do have a quick question about the coil, the coil seems to be spaking from the coil wire to the bottom post of the coil, what could be the problem? The truck also has a aftermarket bumper. and it came with a spare crome wagon wheels and brand new h78 snow cruiser.I paid 800 and i belive its well worth it. let me know what you think Ill post pics tomorrow

I think new secondary ignition parts: spark plugs, cap rotor and wires will be the cure for the arcing at the coil.

Fawkin front bumper reminds me of those trains that had a cat-walk around the front end of the engine.

I thought the rust belt was further south? You guys salt the roads in MI?

Yes this truck will be the better of the 2, the brown one has 200k on it and will bee the parts and has alot more serious rust than this one, i fuond some panels from a place in canada, 245 a side down the road in a couple months thats what ill be doing, hopefully today i can get the frame sanded on the truck and lay some paint on it. anyone have a good suggestion for a paint for the frame to stop the rust from coming back?, for now i dont need anything off of "doo doo" its still driving me around up north through the woods. and HELL ya we salt the roads around here, michigan has mutpile salt mines. the bumper has winch mounts dont look to be to strong, im going to reinforce the brackets but its not likely to see a winch for a year so ive got plenty of time on that . for the money i cant complain, the way i look at it, even if i get 5000 miles out of it, ivve got 1000$ total vechile and minro repair costs. people pay way more for that if they lease a car, and have nothing to show for it after. and insurance only cost me 600$ total for the year. i can definitly do that.
