Ya I am strongly considering that now just trying to small the 2x the cost for a new h55f vs a rebuild, will eat up the cash for my other mods. How's the resale value go up doing one vs the other?

IMHO, resale value should not figure in to any of your calculations. Barring a miracle, you will NEVER get out what you put in to your rig. That being said, a properly done H55 install is worth more to potential buyers than the 4 speed. Still Toyota and would meet OEM purist approval.

1984 FJ60 is not a plug and play installation. It will work but there is some extra modifications that are required. I will leave the explanations (I'd send a link but I'm Google Search lazy at the moment) to the experts like Skrewball and Nate who helped install mine. BTW thank you dear Sirs....

Made a lot of progress today ARB bumper went on with the 9500 lbs winch and 7" LED bars. Went to bars as the rounds blocked to much air.

Tackled the Aussie snorkel install stencil was spot on; only thing is the 3rd bolt hole is not needed as when I punched through I hit thick metal that was impossible to get a wrench on to eve tighten so I left it out. Riveted the support bracket on to the windshield frame. Quite happy with the look and install.

Installed new 70 series mirror huge upgrade and difference.

Here are a few photos let me know if anyone needs elaboration on things.

Cleaned her up over the weekend enjoy.

Also some interior shots of console and leather steering wheel install

Got it from Spectre OffRoad fit perfect directions are simple enough. I will say one of my favorite mods just feels so much better on the hands driving and cranking the wheel. Sewing took about an hour but came out clean highly recommend.
